Dan Sasaki, da moanavisionofficial, personalizou as lentes anamórficas da série T para evocar o auge do boom econômico japonês. Para a reconstrução pós-Segunda Guerra Mundial, ele ajustou as elegantes lentes VA esféricas. Alex Nelson Ezerooptik realocou as lendárias lentes Leica M Summicron da década de 1950 para a era pós-guerra.
Quebramos intencionalmente a linguagem visual ao filmar as cenas de Hansu com as lentes anamórficas, para transmitir a disparidade social e econômica e fazer com que Hansu se destaque.

We designed spherical and anamorphic lenses to distinguish the 1940s/50s and 1980s storylines. Since Pachinko frequently crosscuts between the two eras, we wanted the audience to feel the subtle differences.
Dan Sasaki @panavisionofficial custom-tuned the anamorphic T-series lenses to evoke the height of the Japanese economic boom. For the post-WWII rebuild, he tuned the elegant spherical VAs. Alex Nelson @zerooptik rehoused the legendary 1950s Leica M Summicron lenses for the during-the-war era.
We intentionally broke the visual language by filming the Hansu scenes with the anamorphics, to convey social and economic disparity and to make Hansu stand out.
