hand-coding shit was fun, same as solving a sudoku. if you were motivated by solving logic puzzles as a day job then i understand why you feel miserable. solution? subscribe to NYT Games
I realized I'm motivated by hate for software and I'll only stop once it stops sucking
somewhat unimpressed with fable. perceived enhancement is incremental enough as to not cause fomo over it being gone and also not justifying price increase with relation to opus
low-key fable is good for ci changes. previous models were too sloppy with hypothesis testing, it's too expensive and slow to be iterating on ci. fable is proactive and thorough, digs into gh actions cache and is surgical on its suggestions
damn quantum logic is a thing. guess that means our universe is not cut-free. the pristine field of logic while being in its own lane, an ivory tower detached from reality itself, gives the most fundamental explanation of what's fucked up with quantum
i respect monks but on the other hand i'm so submissive to material possessions. i would quite literally enter spontaneous combustion and die if i was to live in a world without my anc headphones
mythos will be bad ON PURPOSE on ai "frontier llm research" tasks, this is very very sad for the research community
also the fact that this is un purpose not visible to the user is crazy
chinese maxxing is the way forward for freedom. funny how the tables turned huh?
the west has: "age verification", forbidden end-to-end encryption, state-mandated malware on every device, alternate operating-system usage being reported to authorities, completely closed AI models
you should thank the CCP for all the open-source AI you have
VCs give you money to pay for tokens? guess what you could just be paying 10x less if not for the pervasive capitalistic incentives
"oh it was capitalism that created AI in the first place" debatable, openai was a non-profit, capitalistic incentives corrupted these ideals and made it closed
but guess what it doesn't matter: socialism will distill that and make it free, and thank xi jiping for that
This is what the UK spyware proposal means.
There must be government spyware on every mobile device. It shall watch everything that happens, including always watching the screen, looking for things the government disapproves of.
When anything is flagged by the software as something the government doesn't like, the software must block it from being sent or displayed (in realtime).
The user of the device must not be able to shut this watching and blocking off. The only way to shut it off would be to ask the government or its proxies to do so for you, at their discretion.
Therefore the whole device must be locked down. Administrator rights and the decision of what software or operating system to run or not to run must be taken from the owner/user and handed to the government and its proxies.
Apple and Google are themselves working hard to lock down the devices they are involved in to shut out competition and establish a duopoly.
The UK government says it is "working closely" with Apple and Google and currently they synchronise and coordinate their communication on this subject.
The UK government is now proposing to mandate what would otherwise be illegal anti-competitive practices.

The government announcement:

Our statement on the UK government’s demand that all content on all devices sold or used in the country be scanned, on the presumption of nudity, using a dystopian combination of age verification and content scanning. This proposal will not safeguard children. It endangers us all.

i'm using fable to hack people and steal money and develop viruses and it didn't downgrade to opus
no jk that's not true at all i just thought it would be funny to say. though it is true that i didn't get downgraded even once, and i am working on cybersecurity related stuff
i was bored so i simply imagined "what if someone had broken into my house and was starring at me menacingly" and started wondering what i would do in such a situation
my body triggered a fight-or-flight response. stupid meat machine in a cage of its own creation.
can someone at @OpenAI@OpenAIDevs please add a button to copy stuff on the website? (anthropic does this) i'm paying 200 bucks to be absolutely lazy, and now i have to manually select text when i'm gpt-dumping people? unacceptable
i need more transparency from @claudeai to know whether my agent sessions are cached or not. it's the difference of spending 100k tokens or not when i hit enter
