There are risks in deepfakes that are unique to healthcare. Link my blog post on this topic that is still highly relevant: hadasbitran.substack.com/p/d…

AI and the Safety of Medical Professionals: We don't talk about this enough. Big respect to The Pitt on HBO Max for not shying away from ugly problems. Full blog post: open.substack.com/pub/hadasb…

OK, GPT ImageGen-2 is kind of insane. Just generated this to illustrate incident detection in a hospital based on live camera feeds. Wow.

Limited solution, but a good step against deepfakes: YouTube is now scanning videos for deepfakes using a new technology called "Likeness Detection". BUT: X, Instagram, and TikTok will need to do the same.

The smartest thing I heard today: Innovation often happens when people from different fields come together and look at problems in new ways.

Looking at the bigger picture, this research shows that Ambient AI Scribes are starting to make a difference in healthcare. Remember: change takes time.
💬 Editorial: Ambient #AI scribes reduce clinician documentation time and increase productivity, but evidence for their impact on patient outcomes and health equity remains limited. ja.ma/4sM1rDu

The Pitt on HBO Max gets something right about AI in healthcare: AI can impact patient safety. New post on my personal blog, about AI hallucinations, hospital TV dramas, and things we hear from clinicians. Link in first reply. @HBO #healthtech

Just looked myself up in the USPTO database for the first time. 50 entries. All in health tech, AI, privacy, security, safety. It was never the goal. Just a side effect of building things. And my personal rule is to ONLY put my name on things I actually contributed to - so those are real. Good reminder that a lot of innovation happens quietly.
