The Welch Foundation had such a blast last week hosting 18 researchers from across the state for the 2025 WelchX Collaboration Retreat! This year’s theme was “Chemical Research for Grand Challenges”. The retreat’s activities were designed to spur creative, innovative and collaborative ideas that address the most challenging and unexplored issues in a wide variety of chemistry related areas. The attendees paired off and each team will submit a proposal for a collaborative $100,000 pilot grant based on the research they developed together.
