I don't want to invest my time into building an account on a dying platform, and I don't think anywhere else can replace twitter at the moment in terms of size & scale. 🤝

Here's our new research paper of an eye and hand gesture UI for AR. It's from last year and we just released a preprint on arxiv. We focused on a handheld UI- but it's strikingly close to the Apple Vision Pro UI (we had no clue). Check it out: arxiv.org/abs/2306.12402

For those who worry about the lack of controllers on Apple Vision Pro: You don't need controllers for artificial movement in VR. Here is the hand tracking alternative we built for Wooorld called 'Glider'. Pull it toward wherever you want to go. Pull it further to go faster. Movement is even more complicated in Wooorld compared to other VR apps & games as we have two modes of movement: 'Map Navigation' (first half of the video) and 'Locomotion' (second half of the video). And in many ways Glider feels better and more natural than controller thumbstick as it utilizes all three axes. *We still have lots of improvements planned for Glider.

This may look banal, but to a seasoned XR developer it's witchcraft. Hand cut outs are the bane of mixed reality devs. They're doing real-time segmentation of your body and cutting it out based on depth of the 3D object in the scene. Haven't seen anything else come close to this
