His music deeply resonates with me, especially these days. When there was anger is discontent in my heart, his music could soothe it. Like with Pharoah Sanders, his only goal was peace. I strive to be like him every day.

A thought about Adrian Belew at the same time as James Blood Ulmerโค๏ธโ๐ฉน; In seemingly opposite ways they both liberated how guitar can be approached, played, & used to achieve musical, textural, & compositional, ends, whilst being unapologetically playful, soulful, & irreverent.
Unique and criminally underrated! He makes the instrument speak like no other. From his work with Talking Heads, to King Crimson and his cameos with Porcupine Tree, there's no other voice like his!
