This is why we need to stop calling OSS to products maintained by corporations. That popular "open source" you use that it's free, depends on a budget of some manager at a big corporation.

You know it's a lie when they begin with " Yes, and don't ask again for similar commands"

Well, that's pretty much like doing open-source.

THIS IS NOT OPEN SOURCE

If your PR description is a link to a private ticket system, your project is not an open-source project; it's corporate marketing.

I know that I say the same thing every year. But it feels the same every year! You go from denial, sadness, and acceptance until you finally receive the email you've been waiting for. I'm thrilled to have been awarded the Microsoft MVP award for the 6th consecutive year! #mvpbuzz

I just found out that the A in Dario is like the A in Mario or Cardio, but not the A in Radio. What's wrong with you Radio?

All my chats have this.

This is the first thing an AI browser like @diabrowser should support. I already have many AI chat wrappers.

People are laughing about Vibe coding in the same way we laughed about "Prompt engineering". Both will be (are) part of the development workflow.

I know that it sucks, but for real, on every lay off I go to see if the team of the company-backed OSS projects I use is still alive.

Can we lay off influencers instead?

I would also add that most open-source projects rely on a mid-level manager's decision to keep funding the project.

I love OSS but you need to know who is backing an OSS and why they do that. Corporate backed OSS is not less risky than a community based one.
