I decided to delve deeper and try to master skinmaking for Rust. I'd done a few collaborations before, but I was only an artist and so didn't fully grasp the intricacies of creating and posting work for the Rust workshop. It turns out that simply posting a work to the workshop isn't enough; you have to add a link to your work in the Rust Discord channel. And every Tuesday, your work is either added to the collection from which work is accepted for the following week, or a comment is posted explaining why the developer isn't satisfied with a particular workโ€”a special respect for that. After reading and following all the rules, your work is sent to the final selection. In the video below, I decided to show you my work for SKS - Young Dragon. There's also a small spoiler at the end of the video for the next published work for LR300, which will be a continuation of this collection. What do you think? Does this work have a chance? I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for success.๐Ÿคž @Helkus @gerrmanman @HedgesnVideos @playrust @FcpnchStds

After a long hiatus, I finally got my thoughts together and created a new piece for Rust. I spent a long time thinking about what exactly I wanted to do and ultimately decided on a dragon surrounded by Lucaris. The main idea was to showcase the neo-Japanese style in the skin's finish, depicting a young dragon in traditional gold trim. I'm new to creating Rust skins, but I have a question for more experienced skin makers: what could be the reason my skin isn't even included in the weekly selection? Am I doing something wrong or don't meet the selection criteria? Here is the link to my workshop skin: steamcommunity.com/sharedfilโ€ฆ @Helkus @gerrmanman @HedgesnVideos @playrust @FcpnchStds

May be its time? @CounterStrike
For the Arabesque collection, I spent a lot of time working out the details and patterns for each skin, so I decided to split them into different color variations, because with this level of detail, I wouldn't have time to create new designs for other weapons. Whether this tactic worked or not, we'll find out in April, when @CounterStrike updates its arsenal. With each new update, my confidence in what I'm working on gradually wanes, and more and more doubts arise that I'm doing something wrong. I hope the time I spent will pay off at least a little with this update. Some of these skins you already seen in X, some not. What do you think?

Spy/tech is a bit of an odd topic; if you Google references, you'll find a lot of cringe-worthy devices and obscure contraptions. But if you try to find your own approach, you'll find the topic is quite broad, and everyone interprets it differently. This will likely ultimately add variety to the upcoming collection. For me, something spy-themed goes hand in hand with something futuristic, because spy technology should always be ahead of the curve. Therefore, I decided to present some works in a futuristic style, using interesting technologies like the sawed-off and P90. At the same time, I decided to present some works, like the SSG-08, in a realistic style reminiscent of spy field weapons. I decided to make several variations of the USP in the style of old spy award weapons. The M4A1s have futuristic and spy-themed materials that were made in the "custom paint job extended" finish before it was generally available, so they are also somewhat spy and technological. So, do you like anything from my collection for @CounterStrike ? โœ… or โŒ

The final sprint before the finish line and the last skin for the Arabian Mythology and Arabesque collection. A lot of time was spent creating the composition and fine-tuning the fine patterns, and a lot of effort was put into achieving an acceptable result. The only remaining work left is the p90 for the spy/tech, but that's another story. Here we return to why this skin is related to Arabian mythology. In my mind, the cobra is an integral part of the Middle East. In this work, I decided to stylize it as the mythical serpent from Arabic mythology, the Falak. Instead of basic and classic patterns, I chose to stylize flowers, shoots, and inflorescences common in the Arab world, along with an ornamental pattern entwining the center. In this skin, we also utilized the full capabilities of the ยซcustom paint job extendedโ€, which @CounterStrike recently and kindly made available to everyone. This skin won't appeal to everyone, but at least it has its own charm. What do you think? ๐Ÿง

This morning started with half a pack of cigarettes smoked. I feel completely devastated by this update... I'm very happy for the guys and girls involved in this case; all the work is worthy and high-quality. But the fact that the gloves were added to the terminal kills any hope... Unfortunately, we can't do anything about it. Meanwhile, this morning, we discovered on @Biliboba_CS2 that our Arabian mythology skin goes perfectly with the new gloves released today by @CounterStrike What do you think? How do you like the combination? ๐Ÿง

I'm judging on March 13th to finally relax and say to myself, "I've done everything I could." for @CounterStrike For now, we're just working tirelessly and aren't afraid to experiment! This AK is part of an experiment based on another completed project (which I'll show you very soon), but I decided to share the interim result with you. Yes, there are still a lot of textures to work on, particularly the wood. I constantly wonder if I'm wasting so much effort and attention on one skin when I could have made 10 basic and simple patterns for 10 simple weapons in that time. What do you think of this AK? W or L? (Keep in mind that its not final result) ๐Ÿซก

Over the past few months, a lot of sweat has been poured into working on the new collections. Unfortunately, the reward for a one-time payment is nothing compared to the regular royalties from good old key cases. But I don't know why, while working on these collections, I forgot about this; I was driven by passion and creative immersion. I'm happy to share with you the work Blazer and I created. And yes, it's not a dragon, but a serpent from Arabian mythology โ€“ Falak. I hope @CounterStrike will turn its gaze to my workshop, even if only briefly. What do you think?

The new Counter-Strike 2 engine offers a huge scope for creativity compared to the GO version. At first, we were delighted with a full-fledged PBR skin creation system. After a while, I noticed that skins with glitter and interesting effects were starting to appear in new Valve collections, but they weren't publicly available. So I asked @Biliboba_CS2 to check the game files and find out how it worked; he's a big fan of digging into code. He then discovered that the developers were using their own hidden "custom paint job extended" finish. Biliboba was able to figure out how it worked and wrote a full-fledged program so we could implement skins with this finish. But after some time, Valve decided to give access to all artists in the workshop. Few people know, but we were the first to create a full-fledged glitter finish. Now, in our new skin, we decided to fully exploit the potential of this new type of finish and used all nine possible textures to create this P90. We really hope that @CounterStrike will take notice of our efforts. On this screenshot you can see how deep skin is changing with wear range

Here we go ๐Ÿซก If you're being direct, maybe you could clarify that this definitely isn't for the new Anubis collection, because Egypt is part of the Arab world ๐Ÿง

As they say, everything that happens happens for a reason. My friends and I went to a nearby island one day to celebrate a birthday, but that evening we discovered the port would be closed due to a storm. So here we are, stuck on the island for three days. ๐Ÿ˜€ It's like a post-apocalyptic moment, with just four people on the beach, and you can draw a new @CounterStrike skin in complete peace. It's a complete sense of peace and quiet, a wonderful feeling. ๐Ÿ˜Ž The atmosphere in creating drawings is an important part of it
