As we wrap up the end of Pride Month we want to remind everyone that LGBTQIA people are welcomed and celebrated by NHHRC all year long, not just during pride month. We encourage others to do that same. #Pride #Pride2023 #HarmReduction #NH #NewHampshire

Today is International Sex Workers’ Day. ISWD is held to mark the 1975 occupation of Saint-Nizier Church by around 100 sex workers, protesting their criminalised & exploitative living conditions. Sex workers continue to mark the day by calling for fulfilment of their rights.

A9: Our work wouldn’t be possible w/o our community–which has always been led & for people who use drugs, many of whom were/are BIPOC LGBTQIA2S folks who literally took the safety & well-being of those around them into their own hands through street work, advocacy, & radical ❤️.

A6: Harm Reduction has created the space that we have. Without it, LLC would cease to exist! It allows us and our members to have nuanced conversations with one another that accounts for our exp with drugs, with sex work, with our queer identities.

A5B: We celebrate through joy & hope as resistance w/ our loved ones, families/chosen families, & colleagues. While we acknowledge this may not be a joyful time for all, we celebrate & uplift joy however it may look for you - celebration means something different to everyone.
