Several emerging narratives are thriving on Base, but sometimes the best play is to accumulate the “picks and shovels”—projects that provide essential tooling and infrastructure for these ecosystems. As adoption and value surge, these foundational layers remain indispensable.
Here are 3 narratives I’m bullish on, along with their “picks and shovels” I’m accumulating for mid-to-long-term growth:

The part of the $AERO rollout people are underrating → it's launching on Circle's @arc, a chain built specifically for stablecoin settlement.
Most DEX expansions chase whatever chain has incentives flowing. Putting an efficient liquidity venue directly on stablecoin-native infrastructure is a different bet.
"How's the engine running?"
• All-time volume >$400B
• PGF's programmatic buyback and lock of another 497K $AERO
• @DromosLabs is building Predictive Allocation, a marketplace of AI agents for capital routing efficiency
Better allocation, tighter spreads, more volume, more revenue feeding the buyback.
That loop predates Arc. Arc just gives it a bigger, cleaner pool to run on.
That's why I'm getting more constructive on the $AERO ecosystem. The Ethereum mainnet launch gets the headlines, but Arc is the venue that changes what kind of liquidity the protocol can structurally hold.
Still forthcoming, targeted around Q2 2026, so the thesis rests on execution.
The venue choice tells you what they're building toward.

The whole market has been two steps behind him on AI investing since this all started.
