We’ve recently observed a rise in sophisticated "impersonation scams" originating from TikTok ads and private WhatsApp groups. These scammers often use forged regulatory certificates and our brand logo to build a false sense of trust. To help you stay safe, here is a breakdown of the tactics currently being used to compromise user accounts and financial security: 🚩 Scenario 1: The "Remote Assistance" Red Flag A scammer may pose as a Hata "Account Manager" or "Specialist," offering to assist you with your trades or account setup. The Tactic: They will guide you to download remote desktop software such as AnyDesk or TeamViewer. The Risk: Granting remote access allows an unauthorized person to view your screen in real-time. This can lead to the unauthorized retrieval of login credentials and the interception of sensitive information, such as banking TAC or OTP codes, giving them the ability to move funds without your permission. Our team will never ask to remotely access your device or view your screen. 🚩 Scenario 2: The "Guaranteed Return" & Third-Party Deposit You might be invited to a group chat promising high rebates or "guaranteed profits" The Tactic: You are instructed to transfer funds to a private bank account or an external link, after which you are shown a "fake dashboard" reflecting high profits to encourage further deposits. The Risk: These platforms are entirely fabricated. When you attempt to withdraw your "profits," the scammers will often demand additional "processing fees" or "taxes," leading to a significant loss of capital. 🚨 iOS Security Alert | Immediate Action Recommended Apple has issued an urgent advisory for iPhone and iPad users to update their iOS devices immediately. According to findings by Google Threat Intelligence Group (GTIG), a critical exploit chain known as “DarkSword” has been identified, affecting devices running iOS 18.4 to 18.7. This is a system-level vulnerability and is not related to Hata or any crypto platform directly. However, attackers may exploit this vulnerability through compromised websites, i.e. in some cases, without requiring any user interaction. This could potentially expose sensitive information, including data linked to crypto accounts. The exploit is also designed to leave minimal traces, making detection particularly challenging. If your device is running iOS 18.4–18.7, we strongly recommend taking immediate precautionary steps.
