🚀 Mainnet 12.2 is out! We've improved staking UX and introduced an even faster block sync. ⚙️ 1️⃣ Separate stash and controller accounts are now deprecated. If you've been using a controller account, you still can, but this option is now unavailable to newcomers. 🧐 This modification sets the stage for the upcoming proxy account system. The goal of proxy accounts is to further simplify staking-related tasks such as bonding and unboding and allow to perform them even when the stash is offline. 2️⃣ We've enhanced the contracts pallet and internal block synchronization request mechanism, with the goal of ultimately making the block sync faster than ever before. 3️⃣ There are also several breaking API changes.
