There’s not a thing she does that isn’t layered with meaning. Every world she creates, every sculpture she molds from digital ice, caked in concept and quirk and interconnectivity. Her very website is a rabbit-hole, an invitation —like all her work— to get lovingly lost, to stumble on secrets, to find long-suppressed bits of ourselves floating somehow within the spheres of her influence. We welcome (a bit belatedly) @heaven_computer to the Honorary DeCC0s Club!

today we celebrate the 2-year anniversary of god.observer 🛸🔭 (yayy!) with a little appreciation post for this misunderstood heaven.computer collection. while inspired by many sources, the original idea for god.observer was born from my admiration for FITS Liberator, a NASA software, previously a photoshop plugin, used for processing astronomical data to produce images of space. experimenting with this plugin inspired me to get into astronomical data and image processing, and eventually pursue a career in astrophysics — a pursuit that has been discontinued since realizing i err more on the side of arts of that specific intersection. still, the idea of transforming raw data into visual art introduced by playing with this plugin back in the day is one i have carried throughout much of my art practice.

chronologically following the web design timeline started by the ghost.software late-1990s mint page, the god.observer mint page pays homage to early-to-mid-2000s web design, adorned with banners, blinkies, custom scrollbars, and a dividing 🥁 web technology of the time: HTML frames (or an HTML5-friendly recreation of them), complete with an "anti-frames" statement button. while the playful and slightly satirical language used in the Intro and Research section of god.observer may suggest otherwise, god.observer was made with due respect and admiration for the science. the Observatory section features an interactive and customizable stellarium, so holders and enthusiasts alike can navigate to the celestial objects portrayed in their god.observer tokens and learn more about them.

god.observer mint has recently been re-opened if you too wish to join the space mission. and if you do mint it, make sure you don't close the page until the transaction is complete... there'll be a fun surprise waiting for you 🌌🪐 eternally grateful for all the supporters of my weird little art projects 🤍 here's to the 2-year anniversary of god.observer and to more art to come! 🥂

it's 3am and i'm sitting here with my cappuccino (don't judge, my life is lawless) just finished creating the mint page for sky.luxury, and now moving on to coding the backend server logic that fetches and serves the collection's script from the contract, then captures, stores, and pins the token images to IPFS. not to get too technical, but sometimes i wish the space knew and appreciated how much work actually goes into making and running a project like heaven.computer, with so many moving parts, entirely on my own. beyond the eccentric techniques i use for art-making, or heaven.computer being a complex website made up of many websites within it, there's a lot more going on under the hood with servers and smart contracts that i am solely responsible for. it is demanding, but i love doing what i do, and i love the ability to be involved in every part of a digital art craft that i've been diligently honing for almost two decades years now. so, in a few days when the new collection comes out, i hope all the love for the craft, the art and the attention to the detail i put into it shines through. i hope for it to reach the people that'll find delight in the magical internet world i am building and the rather unusual ways i use technology to bring it to life. in a night like this when work gets tough, i am truly thankful to have found so many of these people in this space. now let me get back to it because this thing isn’t gonna code itself (the next collection after this one, however, actually could code itself, but that’s a story for another tweet...)
