Today begins the next era of the Helium Network. We're live now with a leadership update, a refreshed vision, and a governance proposal for the community to decide on. Watch: x.com/i/broadcasts/1jGXggynk… Mario Di Dio (@didiomario) is stepping in as CEO and our founder, Amir Haleem (@amirhaleem), is moving to Chairman after over a decade building Helium from an idea into a Network millions connect through every day. Read the full story: blog.helium.com/the-next-era… Wireless is a trillion-dollar industry that’s cutting spend while demand keeps climbing. Indoor coverage is spotty, dense areas lack redundancy, and emergency services can't hop between networks. Helium is rebuilding it as an intelligent global infrastructure platform. A once-in-a-generation shift. With our consumer business in good hands at Noble Mobile, Helium can focus fully on the bigger opportunity: our Network business. Serving several carriers and growing, it carries verified traffic for millions, burns $HNT based on use, and is owned by those who deploy it. Today we're publishing a governance proposal to capitalize the opportunity, shift to utility-based rewards, support deployers with a floor, and add a community-elected oversight council. Read it in full: github.com/helium/HIP/blob/m… Shorter explainer here: helium.com/proposal This is a community decision, and we want the hard questions. Join Mario live now, then a Q&A at 3pm ET, with more sessions to follow. We'll be in Discord throughout: discord.gg/helium

Reminder: Major carriers use Helium. Not just for coverage, but for the data behind it. Helium pioneered real-time Wi-Fi quality metrics, giving carriers the visibility to turn offload into informed, converged connectivity. fierce-network.com/newswire/…

There's a lot of speculation in the air right now. We are not going to spend energy chasing it when we have a calendar full of calls with carriers and partners that are paying customers of this Network. We are spending our time building tangible things. What's real is the millions of people using this Network every day and carriers running traffic through hotspots deployed from community. What's also real is our expansion beyond coverage into a new intelligence layer carriers have been asking for. I came to @helium because it's building the thing carriers need right now and can't build for themselves, and that demand is only getting stronger. The proposal we published resources this next era, including operations through this transition, in a public on-chain vault with hardcoded limits and community oversight. Every outflow is observable. Anything else is hearsay. We're not slowing down. We're accelerating. Our next live Q&A is coming next week, details soon. Keep the questions coming. We are here for it.

The telco buildout is slowing. The need for connectivity isn't. Helium's people-powered network is meeting demand more efficiently, more affordably, at scale. The gap is the opportunity. Read more 👇 blog.helium.com/helium-rises…

Satellite benefits mobile users under the open sky... But 80% of mobile data is used indoors, & demand is 1,000x higher in dense urban areas (where satellite struggles to keep up). Helium meets that demand with Hotspots or businesses converting their Wi-Fi through Helium Plus.

Wi-Fi Offload Market (Catalyst #1) 6G bill is coming while 5G is still being paid - North America operators spent $300B in 5G CAPEX between 2020-2025 - In 2022 telco spent 26.9% of their revenue in telco infrastructure capex. In 2024 that spend dropped to 22.9%. The trend is downwards YoY - Based on data traffic growth, the 6G infrastructure CAPEX ramp is supposed to start in 2040 with an initial $30B and a 37.6% CAGR - Why? $100k–$500k per 5G base station, and 6G's higher bands reach shorter, so it needs more of them. There is a gap: the 6G bill arrives while 5G monetization still lags The solution: an asset-light, offloaded capacity, aka Wi-Fi offload @helium is inevitable

Carriers are pulling back on infrastructure spend. But demand for mobile coverage is not slowing down. The Helium Network was created for exactly this moment: real connectivity, without massive capex. Mile-High Wi-Fi in Denver is the perfect example of the Helium model in action. The IT firm helps businesses address common connectivity problems: terrible indoor cell coverage, an unreliable guest network, and dead zones staff just works around. Then they convince those businesses to put their existing Wi-Fi to work on the Helium Network. Now, Mile-High operates ~200 locations with Helium Plus and 20 Hotspots deployed across Denver. No carrier rollout. No massive infrastructure deal. Just a local IT firm solving real connectivity problems and growing the Helium Network one venue at a time.
