It must really suck to be a Hearts fan right now.

These people are disingenuous and would doubtless have found reason for complaint if millions were spent on a plush studio in midtown Manhattan. You don't like the BBC, just be honest about it

This year’s World Cup has more teams and more host nations than any previous World Cup. It’s also going to make FIFA billions of dollars, but complications including dynamic ticket pricing and mounting costs are leaving ordinary fans priced out and host cities under financial strain youtu.be/1QaXlf1-tGY

In the last 48 hours I’ve been deluged with 100s of vile, misogynistic tweets and death threats. Why? For doing my job: asking @ZiaYusufUK questions about claims by @Nigel_Farage of 2-tier policing. I spoke about this on tonight’s show. Enough is enough. youtu.be/MTrNIyotEHk?si=VElZ…

RIP Bobby Tambling.

Went to hear him speak & would've been happy to listen for hours. Really entertaining. Also such a nice man & so humble. Seemed surprised so many of us would want to hear his stories & that he got such a great reception (as he did!) when he came on the pitch at the Bridge.

To have a revenue requires success and to get into competitions on performance. That's the key. That drives everything, including the global footprint. Nobody globally will see Chelsea play in Europe next season because they won't be playing.
Chelsea Co-owner Todd Boehly on the importance of being a global brand: "If you look at Dodgers, Lakers, Chelsea, these are all giant brands.
The brand is global. The awareness is global. The fanbase is global. They’re more than football clubs. They are lifestyles. They are entertainment platforms. Everyone wants something to root for, right? These give people things to root for.
But if you look at the UK, there are 116 professional football clubs. There are a lot of examples of businesses, or clubs, that have not done financially well. To compete, you have to have a revenue, and to have a revenue, you have to have a global footprint.” (via @kierangill_DM)

Many Scots are determined to experience first World Cup since 1998, no matter what Fifa has thrown at them.
Scotland's Tartan Army, deprived of a World Cup game since 1998, is one of the few groups undeterred by high ticket prices and complicated logistics. bloomberg.com/news/features/…
