From the perils of perplexing technology, to the beauty of computational biology: forming the visual aesthetic of 1910 Genetics’ AI and machine learning solutions for drug discovery. Crafting a visual expression that explains 1910 Genetics’ computational platforms almost became the artistic breaking-point of this project. But with a lot of refinement, we managed to compress enough information into 1910 Genetics’ visual narrative to form clearly distinguishable story beats, with a uniquely organic aesthetic. We managed to craft the perfect balance of scientific accuracy and appealing abstraction, this visual narrative flows seamlessly, forming an uninterrupted story that encompasses the entirety of 1910’s process — from concept to cure. - Link to a case study in the comment.

The undruggable problem and the platforms of pharmaceutical progress: ELVIS & ROSALYND — seeking the end of undruggable targets, fueled by AI and machine learning. The Platforms page was designed to highlight the contrast between the problems in pharmaceutical research and the revolutionary solutions offered by 1910 Genetics’ platforms — ELVIS and ROSALYND.
The key focal point of the page is the interactive section that hosts the 3D visualization animations of the platforms. As they directly present 1910 Genetics’ solutions, the visual narrative of these sections in both rich in information and visual fidelity, highlighting the platforms’ key areas of application. Every element of the page, from the dynamic motion to the interactive dropdown menu, is tailored to offer insights into the platforms’ processes and capabilities, utilizing the full potential of 1910 Genetics’ brand aesthetic. - Link to a case study in the comment.

AutoLayout is neat and tight, but your magic lives in the half-pixel fight.
AutoLayout is probably Figma's best feature. It's also quietly killing creativity one frame at a time. I see it with younger designers constantly; AutoLayout first, design thinking second. The tool decides the layout before the designer even considers what the design *wants* to be. Coming from the Photoshop era, my process still looks like beautiful chaos. Half-pixels everywhere. Scale up, scale down, break it, rebuild it. Nothing aligns until it *feels* right. Efficiency comes last; character comes first. The creative process is messy by design. Skip the mess, skip the magic. Curious how other designers handle this; or am I the last guy manually pushing rectangles around like it's 2013?

this!
The best designers I know don't follow a process. They practice relentlessly. They've absorbed so much work that intuition replaces method. Study. Remake what you love. Fail until the visual vocabulary becomes instinct, not method. Only then does your voice show up. Not because you invented something new; but because you've practiced enough to know what feels right. Good taste isn't always a gift. When it isn't, it's trained through doing, not watching. Thousands of iterations you'll never show anyone. That said, we do have a process page. Mostly because clients ask. But there's an Easter egg hiding if you look closely enough.
