One huge ah-ha for me this year has been the correlation between correct letter formation and reading ability. Adding 2-3 minutes of explicit handwriting practice to my reading groups has been a game changer. @napls_ps@helloliteracy

My favorite part of teaching is THE KIDS. I got to guest teach a small group #structuredliteracy lesson in @MsBrittCampbell ‘s 4th grade class today and at the end when I excused the group to line up, one student said “Are you coming back tomorrow?”
Today we grew our reader and writer brains and learned about the different parts of speech, syllable types, and visualizing skills! @helloliteracy, thank you for not only teaching these fourth graders today, but also their fourth grade teacher! 🤍 📚 #SalemRollinStrong
