Me and Oliver drove up to South Dakota to pick up Peppermint, a little Shiba Inu who’s been fostered by Nick, Candace, and their beautiful family. And honestly, without them, this rescue never would’ve happened. People don’t talk about it enough, but fosters are one of the most important parts of rescue. They’re the bridge between danger and safety. They’re the reason dogs have a place to land while the next step is being figured out. Huge thank you to Nick, Candace, and their family for opening their home, giving Peppermint love, and making this possible. Fosters save lives. It’s that simple.

This is my dog Duke. He’s a 62 pound 5 1/2 year old pitty/ boxer mix. I rescued him from the shelter about a year and a half ago. He just recently graduated from therapy dog training. I’m so proud and happy for him! I think he’ll do great!

This is my dog Duke. I rescued him about 1 1/2 years ago. He’s about 5 1/2 years old and a 62 pound pitty/boxer mix. He’s such a good dog! Loves people, kids and other dogs. Over the summer he graduated obedience training to become a therapy dog. Last night he passed a 6 week temperament testing class. I have a little more to learn and he has 1 more evaluation to pass but I think he’s got this! Could be a real rags to riches story!Adopt don’t shop! ❤️😍🐾
