Hundreds of final year med students have been told there isnโt yet a job for them.
We are concerned that they may only get three weeks notice of where they are working.
If we treat new doctors like this, they will leave the NHS. Time for @wesstreeting to take some action!

This week hundreds of finalists were given placeholder allocations for the foundation programme, this is unacceptable. The government MUST now guarantee they ALL receive their allocation at least 8 weeks before their start date.

colleagues and feel that we are really giving them the care they deserve. If @rcpsych wants to attract the people that the #choosepsychiatry campaign was aimed to recruit, there needs to be an urgent and thorough overhaul of how recruitment is done.

Lastly, I just feel sorry for those people who would make excellent psychiatrists of the future, who are not able to because of an arbitrary and disconnected exam, and who are passed over in favour of uncommitted and inappropriate candidates.
