While August has been a rather slow month, our project partners have been really active in the previous months. Please ready below an update on the 2nd Social Innovation Hackathon organized in Thessaloniki, Greece by our project partner University of Macedonia!

Maria Lúcia Babo, seasoned businesswoman and mentor, underscores the critical need for self-knowledge among women. Her journey, marked by resilience in male-dominated spaces, highlights how understanding our unique strengths and values can empower us to navigate and succeed.

We highlight Claudia Nair's inspiring words and her dedication to creating spaces and opportunities focused on women. Her journey is a testament to the power of perseverance, creativity, and the importance of honoring the unique challenges women face in the professional world.

Despite progress, women are still underrepresented in tech fields, holding only 26.2% of full professorships and less than a quarter of self-employed roles in Science, Engineering, and ICT. HerTechVenture aims to change this by inspiring, recruiting, and retaining women in tech.
