Pleased to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with @Mansoura1968 to strengthen @WHO-@religions4peace efforts on promoting health; enabling whole-of-society responses to health crises & including faith actors in emergency preparedness & response. Together, for health & peace.

Yes I have experienced this very strongly, while working with @WHO colleagues as part of an amazing multi-sectoral group, on FBO engagement, #Covid19 responses & future pandemic preparedness. Led by @hess_se & @SallyLynnSmith, & involving @Mansoura1968, @patlakath & @winiger_uzh

This work, in turn, resulted in an amazing series of events that I was proud to be associated with. This body of work also allowed for full, free & fair engagement of ideas, which caused alliances for peace (& of course, better health). @CGHH_York who.int/news-room/events/det…

❕ there is hope but we cannot assume that the worst is behind us ❕ The next VOC will more likely be more transmissible than #Omicron, but we cannot predict if it will be more severe or not. Stay safe.

What will happen next? Some countries are already lifting parts of their measures in place. But we must remain 🚨 vigilant 🚨 and be ready to reinstate them based on the epidemiologic situation to not lose the collective efforts already made.
