If I tried to give my fiancée (now wife) money when we were dating, she would ask me what it’s for & why you are giving her money. She would reject it I could remember the one and only time she asked me for money, 11k to be precise, 3 years into our relationship. It was cos she was in a very tight corner — she was going for her clinicals driving her dad’s car when she had a minor accident and needed it fixed before she returns home. If you see how excited I was when she asked me for the money ehn. 😂🤣 But now that we are married, if I give her money, she go just dey shine teeth 😂🤣 She believes that if you are neither an orphan nor crippled, then you shouldn’t be collecting money from a man who isn’t your husband.
