Our analysis of CQC ratings published in November reveals that the proportion of English maternity units deemed not safe enough has increased to two-thirds (67%), up from 55% when @cathburns and I looked at the situation last autumn.
Our latest story looks at a decade of Prevention of Future Death reports issued after an autistic person died. We found warnings about the same issues in their care again and again - with @Cleggins82 @hey_benjamin bbc.com/news/uk-66731265
Many families and pet owners feel frustrated in their search for a rental home.
We found nearly 1/4 of adverts on OpenRent suggested families weren't welcome, and that almost 3/4 on the same site excluded pets.

We’ve analysed CQC data and found that 55% of maternity units don’t consistently meet safety standards. @MidwivesRCM says this maternity crisis is fixable but needs to be at the top of the political agenda. Govt says it is investing in staffing. bbc.co.uk/news/health-625693…

Nearly five million people are waiting for hospital treatment in England and 436,000 have been waiting for more than a year. @NickTriggle and I took an in-depth look bbc.co.uk/news/health-570927…
Latest analysis from myself and @hey_benjamin on critical care statistics.
The situation is showing early signs of improving, but it is exceptionally high still.
This chart shows just how bad got and - sadly - how far we have to go before things are normal.
Most listings on OpenRent and SpareRoom do not welcome so-called "DSS" renters.
And thousands of places on Zoopla and Rightmove seem open to benefits claimants, while the same property advertised on OpenRent excluded them.

We’re all waiting to discover the next US president 🇺🇸
But if you are seeing different numbers from various news sites, you might be unsure what’s accurate 🗳️
