I have left Twitter.
ALT Last week, Elon Musk spent 44 billion dollars to buy Twitter. He has made it clear that he did this because he felt that hate speech, slurs and dangerous misinformation were being moderated too harshly. I can see that Twitter is about to become a more dangerous place for marginalized people. The only content on Twitter is created by its users. I will not be an unpaid content creator for the world’s richest man’s website. If I wind up on a different site, I may post that here. The media needs to call out dishonest fucks like @tedcruz when they do this stuff. It takes PA longer to count mail ballots because the Republican legislature won’t let them start counting earlier. It’s a purposeful strategy to enable this message from cynical pricks like Ted.
Why is it only Democrat blue cities that take “days” to count their votes?
The rest of the country manages to get it done on election night.

Projections may be made election night. Local elections officials have as much as three weeks to certify an election. Texas, officials have 8-14 days. Absentee, mailed and provisional ballots cannot all be counted election night. Recounts also delay final results.

We cannot predict earthquakes, but we can predict the predictions. After every quake big enough to interest the wider public, there will be a prediction that an even bigger quake is coming somewhere soon. Social media means those rumors spread faster with even less justification
