i made $14.79 in May ‘26 👶 Buggy - $11.45 🪙 Coiny - $3.34 a very bad month revenue-wise turning Buggy into a free app with subs instead of paid might have burned me but what’s done is done more motivation to do marketing!
i made $36.23 in April ‘26 👶 Buggy - $21.79 🐟 Fishy - $9.45 📝 Waddle - $4.99 launched Waddle on iOS but i’ve already pivoted to web app after seeing ads failing thinking of revamping Buggy to a 2.0 with a lot more stuff all the other apps (10) are dead just with ASO

small tiktok experiment: brand new account no warm up 1st post: 0 views no hashtags 2nd post: 61 views in 2h with hashtags not enough data to prove anything but maybe “warm up your account” is less important than just giving tiktok some context

what’s the biggest reason small apps fail? 1. bad idea 2. bad positioning 3. no distribution 4. founder gets bored

which one matters most for a good app idea? 1. recurring anxiety 2. repeated behavior 3. visible outcome 4. willingness to pay or share i feel like missing one of these makes marketing way harder

tiny app business thing i learned: if you switch a paid app to freemium don’t forget your existing paid users i wanted to grandfather mine into lifetime access but the transfer is tricky so i added a legacy button that sends me their app info and i manually grant the entitlement in RevenueCat Buggy doesn’t have a lot of users or sales but the fact that people keep coming is enough to keep me going!

day 30 🤘 do daily posts actually help? mine were supposed to help me show up but lately they feel like a chore and half of them are just me processing confusion in public 😅 i still want to share the journey but i’m starting to think the better format is: less daily log more useful posts when there’s a real point do you post daily or only when you have something worth saying? 👥947

day 29 🤘 question for people building in public: do you actually remember what you posted about your project 2 weeks ago? i don’t lol x is good at showing the post but bad at tracking the project behind it thinking x-tra should become a memory layer for builders on x useful or unnecessary? 👥947
day 28🤘 i used to feel guilty when i wasn’t working today was a holiday in portugal so i spent the day with family and barely touched the computer weirdly, that still feels like progress because i’m starting to understand that rest isn’t the opposite of work sometimes it’s where the better ideas come from 👥949

day 27 🤘 launched ScreenEdit today a small app to make screenshots look better without opening a full design tool i’m proud i shipped it but i’m also realizing i don’t need more apps right now i need to get better at distribution positioning and building from real demand so this might be the last new app for a while time to learn the part i keep avoiding 👥945

i love this type of users they cancel their subs but they always come back i guess that means that my app is actually kinda good 👀

ScreenEdit is an editor app to beautify your screenshot i would very much love for you to give it a try! frame images, make collages, annotate them, add shapes and redact there’s a paid tier to remove the watermark and customise your designs apps.apple.com/app/screenedi…

day 25🤘 i keep missing what’s next on my calendar so i’m building a tiny menu bar app that only shows today’s upcoming events no full calendar no planning system just “what’s next?” would you use something this small? 👥919

if you had told me 2 years ago that i would be sharing a good looking photo of me (lol) and boost myself, i honestly would have laughed in your face we’re all gonna make it!
i’m 33 today i’m usually way better at noticing what’s missing than what i’ve actually done but looking back - i taught myself engineering after a master’s in psychology - built a career doing work i actually enjoy - bought a house - built a family - got through depression and anxiety - published my first apps and somehow i still catch myself thinking i’m behind it’s very easy to measure your life only by the goals you haven’t reached yet but today i’m trying to appreciate the path a bit more here’s to 33
