LOST ALL ITL BECAUSE OF DAPPS
You need to read this entire post to understand why InterLink is building hundreds of DApps for the community, but I am warning everyone to be careful.
This post is not meant to attract views or create fear. In fact, many users from other projects have lost all the coins in their wallets simply because they connected to a scam DApp by mistake. That is why the purpose of this post is to help everyone clearly understand how to distinguish between a real DApp and a scam DApp before InterLink enters a stage where more real applications are launched within the ecosystem.
Please help me share this post so the community can stay alert, learn how to protect their wallets, and avoid unnecessary risks.
First, what is a DApp?
Simply put, a DApp is similar to normal applications that we use every day, such as TikTok Shop, the social media platform X, or games combined with finance like the Bitflip DApp that we are currently experiencing. There are many different types. Each DApp has a different purpose, depending on what the development team wants to build.
However, there are some important differences here:
First: Normal apps usually require users to log in with an email or phone number, while DApps run on blockchain and users log in with their own crypto wallets.
Second: When you need to make a payment or pay for a service, normal apps usually require you to deposit cash or use traditional payment methods. But with DApps, you will use cryptocurrency. It can be stablecoins or the native coin being used on the blockchain network where that DApp is running. In the InterLink ecosystem, DApps will use ITL.
Third: Data from normal apps is usually stored by the company. Meanwhile, DApp data is stored in a decentralized way, where no one can easily modify or interfere with it. Because of that, the results are more transparent and public compared to traditional applications.
So now you understand what a DApp is. In the future, InterLink will cooperate with many other companies to launch DApps for us to use. And because DApps connect directly to your wallet, you need to pay attention to the following things to avoid being scammed:
Please remember this: a real DApp only asks you to connect your wallet. It will never ask you to enter your 12-word or 24-word recovery phrase. Any DApp that asks you to enter your recovery phrase is a scam.
Before logging in to any DApp, you must carefully check whether the link or domain name is correct.
Finally, only use DApps that have been officially announced and verified by InterLink. Do not believe any random advertisements, such as βbuy products with ITL on this websiteβ or βuse ITL on that platform.β Only use a DApp when there is official information from InterLink. That way, you will avoid losing your ITL.
When you understand and pay attention to these points, you will be able to use DApps more confidently in the future without being afraid of scams.
If anyone here has ever encountered or fallen for a scam DApp, please comment below so everyone can learn from it.
Thank you, everyone. Please give me a follow for more useful updates.
