He's gonna give him a pardon isn't he.
He'll be interviewed and be all "I like SBF.. I think he's done great work for the crypto industry. Nobody knows about SBF more than I do and if you think about it it's good for me and we'll get this done"
FORMER FTX CEO SAM BANKMAN-FRIED OFFICIALLY SEEKS TRUMP PARDON
Sam Bankman-Fried has formally filed a request for a presidential pardon, despite President Trump previously stating he has no plans to grant clemency.
The former FTX CEO is serving a 25-year prison sentence after being convicted in 2023 on fraud and conspiracy charges tied to the collapse of FTX and the misuse of billions in customer funds.
The filing, listed with the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of the Pardon Attorney, seeks a “pardon after completion of sentence” as Bankman-Fried continues to appeal his conviction.
Over the past year, Bankman-Fried has publicly praised several Trump actions, including the pardon of former Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández, but the White House reiterated this week that Trump’s position remains unchanged.
Bankman-Fried is currently incarcerated at a low-security federal facility in Santa Barbara, California.
