Why do we incentivize top teams to disengage from their communities, skip sectionals, and only stoop to play vs local teams at regionals (sometimes)?
Playing against great players/teams is a key way to get better... but TCT requires those teams to play non-local competition!

What’s wrong with more localized play? Why don't we incentivize travel tournaments instead of strong-arming teams into them? Where is cost-reduction for players considered in this model? This has never been clearly explained.

-I've only played W's. These issues exist in M/O, but they’re likely less detrimental bc they have more teams
-I've only played elite club, but I can tell you what I've observed generally
