'sounding like a damaged broadcast from a ruined Earth'
'And with the eschaton of closing time
they say a great gleam of softest light will fall.
And our children's faceless children
will form a circle around us, holding hands.
And they will watch us all, opaque-eyed,
sinking together, one by one, bubbling down.'

I am reminded that 201 years ago yesterday, 16 July 1824, Lord Byron was buried within his family vault.
I felt proud to have honoured Byron on the bicentenary of his death last year with 'O Light! She Was the Universe', published by @GothicKeatsgothickeatspress.com/byron-c…
201 years ago today, 16 July 1824, Lord Byron was buried within his family vault at the Church of St Mary Magdalene in Hucknall, Nottinghamshire. We are proud to have honoured Byron on the bicentenary of his death last year with a collection of poetry. gothickeatspress.com/poems-t…
I’m remembering Lord Byron today on the 201st anniversary of his burial. Byron, celebrated as a national hero in Greece, was denied burial at Westminster Abbey on grounds of “questionable morality”.
Here are some lovely Byronic poems inspired by his life: gothickeatspress.com/poems-t…
Sharing a recently published piece – 'An Unbroken Tale of Dull Sadness' – as part of 'Poets' Walk', written in response to themes inspired by Coleridge's 'The Eolian Harp'.
For all those caught in lasting desolation & swept along in the tragic dance. 🖤

I've struggled with my mental health/well-being for most of my life. CBT has helped in the past but recently things have been incredibly difficult for me.
Since starting SSRIs in June I can honestly say that I feel a sense of calm & happiness that I've never experienced before.

the winged moon, BIOPHILIA is more than our current theme. it is the central question burning at the heart of us. how can we see our way through the ecological crisis if we can’t see a newway to relate to nature? we would love to read your work that moves & thrills us

Part II of 'This Sweven Ends', an ode to deep time, to England, to my daughter. I've always loved this image I captured of the 'Bodach', up on the Mendips.
Come to know the bodach (pronounced 'BOT-ach') perhaps as nature's ancient magus, whispering some dark wisdom unto thee.
Part I of 'This Sweven Ends', an ode to deep time, to England, to my son.
I've always loved this image that I captured of him 'downy-masked and cocooned', up on White Horse Hill.
'We are late Cretaceous' – we are not outside of nature; we are nature.
