ALT Help them find ways to cope - something healthy that works for them - mindfulness, talking to someone, heading outdoors or playing music!

ALT Encourage them to keep moving. Taking regular breaks from studying to move around helps to release tension and clear their head.

ALT Remind them its normal to feel worried - nobody likes exams, so if they're feeling stressed or upset, it's good to remind them that they're not alone, and that this time will pass.

ALT Praise them - Take an interest and praise them. Praise what they are learning. Praise what they are trying to do.

Many parents may be shocked at the portrayal of teenagers’ on-line life and the distress it can cause in Netflix’s Adolescence. Read our advice about what you can do if you’re worried about your child, and what society must do to help keep our young people safe.
