this is directly a consequence of the a technical innovation called makerbook.
we took a part of the orderbook "off-chain" but continue to be a decentralized-LOB because validators still gossip orders to each other - without them being a part of the block state.
40ms to place an order on a dex. the market makers were happy to 2x the spreads on @HubbleExchange without any additional cost.
