Cheap trick's 10th studio album, "Lap Of Luxury", was released this week in 1988 (that's 33 years ago!), It became the band's second-most successful studio album and was mastered by Howie.

German Heavy Metal legends, Scorpions, released their 10th album, "Savage Amusement" this month back in 1988. It went Platinum (1 million) and was the last Scorpions record to be produced by Dieter Dierks and the only one mastered by Howie.

19 years ago this week, Sheryl Crow released her 4th album, C'mon, C'mon, which was mastered by Howie. The single, "Steve McQueen" went on to win a Grammy for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance.

Kurt Cobain died 27 years ago today at the age of 27. I remember the time he and the band spent a day at my studio working on the master for Nevermind. Kurt and I had a great creative relationship even though we didn't see eye to eye all the time.

Who doesn't love the Deftones! I mastered their breakthrough album White Pony back in 2000. And once again, most recently for the 20th Anniversary Super Deluxe Boxset release, which has a whole bunch of juicy extras.
