Lately, lots of scams on Discord DMs, and as a server owner I think I'm starting to see a new one. We all get reports of users who have their account stolen and are posting virus links. The natural reaction to seeing a screenshot of that just becomes. "Oh, not again.." and you ban them. Lately, I've been seeing situations where these screenshots are faked. It's not just as simple as harassing a person, they are using it to pretend to be discord/server staff with the ability to ban people. They tell staff a person is hacked, they get banned, then they reach out to that person pretending they are the one that banned them. No scam looks convincing from the outside looking in. We can all look at this and scoff it off, but given enough attempts, this sort of thing will fool someone at the wrong moment. So, if you run a discord server, do not trust screenshots. Have people use the forward feature to send you the real message from Discord itself.

At 8pm EST (30 minutes after this post) Hyperbeam servers will restart to apply a minor update. Any active sessions will be disconnected.

In our @VRChat integration, an extra feature we plan on working on is the ability to use Hyperbeam to share gameplay directly into video players with nearly no delay. Here is @SonicFox using a test setup to showcase exactly that! (Thanks for testing it out!)

Happy New Year all! For those testing the beta version of Hyperbeam in VRChat, we released some big upgrades to address artifacting and freezing issues! Things should be flawless now! If you haven't tested it in a while I encourage you to give it a try! Remember! VRChat isn't supported on the regular version of Hyperbeam yet. Only LSMedia and ProTV supporters currently have access, but this should be the last major update to the beta that will need testing!

The world lost an amazing person today. Many of you may not realize it, but Hyperbeam would not exist in the same form as it does today without Forest. He was the person I spent many long nights watching Anime with on Rabbit. He was why I found Tutturu in it's early stages and offered to help them with my expertise. Without Forest, I wouldn't be here, in more ways then one. It's going to be very rough for me, so I apologize in advance if our team is hard to contact for a while.
