Home Affairs Minister Leon Schreiber says the department is overstretched, with only 832 inspectors handling over 40,000 cases since January.
He says they rely on SAPS and Labour as support, while cases like the 7,000 Malawians in Durban show how intensive verification work is.
He adds that Home Affairs is still partly paper-based but is looking to use technology to improve efficiency.

I digress. Sue Nyathiโs book, The Polygamist is more than 13yrs old because I actually have a copy. The Mseleku reality show is 8yrs old or so. You claim the story is stolen, that Netflix wouldnโt have bothered, Sue did nothing special? Aowa wena real writer, write your own book- about anything really since nothing is new under the sun- so that the respect we shouldnโt be giving to Sue (whoโs not a real writer even with four books) can be given to you. I hope your book is a banger so Netflix can bother and turn it into a number 1 show- a spot #ThePolygamist doesnโt deserve according to you.
