Iโve been experimenting with how to display extremely high-res comic book pages shrunk to fit tiny iOS device screens. Itโs been a big issue in iComics lately. ๐ค
I just tried rolling my own trilinear filter inside of UIKit and by gum, I think weโre onto something here! ๐

Hello world! Iโve added a basic iOS 14 widget to iComics to easily resume where you last left off. ๐
Itโs still in the middle of being localised, but feel free to give it a shot in the latest beta!

Probably should have mentioned this earlier. If anyone is interested in how much effort it takes to get the iComics comic importer to detect when new files have been dragged in, here's a presentation about it that happened earlier this year. :D

Woohoo! After poking buttons in Photoshop for a week, I think I've finally come up with the sort of design style I want for iComics 2. The idea is to evolve it slowly and add more features over time. :D

Another quick update. Iโm working on completely redesigning the controls in the reader for iComics 2. I want to make it look more modern, as well as more functional. Iโll post the finished design when Iโm happy with it. :D

Another quick update for iComics 2. I've created a completely new page scroller from scratch. Unlike the one in iComics 1, this one dynamically builds the ordering of pages on the fly.
This should make dual page spread a possibility. Finally. ๐

Yay! We had almost 20,000 updates inside a day. Great to see people are still enjoying the app! ๐
For the folks reporting a crash on launch, thanks for that! Iโve checked the crash logs and have prepared a new beta. Link will be up when Apple approves it.

Okay, the Xbox/PS4 version of iComics (Also some other bug fixes) is live on TestFlight. This is hopefully the last beta build before I send it to the App Store. Please test it out and let me know if you find any show-stopping bugs. :D
