ALT Ourd Khun, 30, a farmer from Oddar Meanchey living just 2km from the border, clutches his three sons and nephew after weeks away from home. Missing from the photo are his two daughters—an eight-month-old asleep in her mother’s arms and a six-year-old resting nearby. Since the family fled, his crops have gone untended and livestock unfed. Even with the journey home ahead, uncertainty still shadows their nights. Many Cambodian families and children, like Ourd’s, are still at risk. The recent crisis has left thousands in urgent need, facing disrupted access to clean water, interrupted education, and heightened risks of violence and exploitation.
