Can be as little as a word on your bio, a color, etc. There is this woman from this privacy tech company I have been saddled with how to network with for a long time. Dropped her a follow yesterday and I was shocked to see the swift follow back. We continued our chat today and while chatting about other things she mentioned lightly that “Now I have a friend from Base in Africa” my guess is that it was my pfp and base name that propelled her to check me out first. I also remember the time I was using my milady pfp btw 2024-2025. I noticed I was always getting fast response even when I had no verification tick. Got a lot of small fast turnover gigs in evm chains and companies. Or is it the one that happened at @onchainfestival last year. Was trying to onboard this OG web2 dev to @BasedWestAfrica ecosystem and he said no, he is avoiding our web3 industry stress except for working with selected notable persons on highly notable projects. I told him I know one of the persons he mentioned but he didn’t take me serious. He said I should just connect with him on Twitter. After I followed him and he saw my name he just went “Yes, he has that on his name too (.base.eth), you know him then. The rest was history. I’m not saying it’s a playbook but I think it seldomly works. Just thinking.
