Shola Akinlade, the co-founder of Paystack, gives advice to investors. He said when you find founders that are committed, support them because you can unlock a lot of value. The economic environment in 🇳🇬 may be difficult, but with persistence, you can win.

We got an urgent order for 10 cards today and the customers were minutes away from travelling. Logistics partners were delaying so I got on a bike and delivered them myself. That’s how everyone at Timon thinks about customer satisfaction. We’ll never leave you hanging

this resonated with me because it's exactly how we've built blockradar. we never started with a grand product vision and then searched for customers. we started with customers, listened carefully to the problems they were facing, and let those problems shape the product. every major feature on our roadmap can be traced back to conversations with fintechs moving real money. the best product roadmap i've found isn't a notion document, it's a customer call.

🌍 Africa Stablecoin & Onchain Payments Map 2026 100 fintechs, infrastructure providers, and institutions that see the opportunity clearly. It's been a year since the last map. So together with @AfriFintech we spoke to the operators on the ground to get their latest takes on progress. Three things stood out: 1️⃣ Regulation has made real progress This is the biggest change. Several markets have moved toward formal recognition, licensing, supervision, and sandboxes. It's a major step forward but the next challenge is implementation: licensing processes, bank policies, compliance procedures --> the practical details that matter. 2️⃣ Firms are verticalizing as competition moves upmarket Larger fintechs, banks, and PSPs are engaging more seriously. As the market matures, the scarce assets become licenses, banking access, liquidity depth, compliance credibility, and distribution. Firms are verticalizing to capture better economics. 3️⃣ Local-currency stablecoins as settlement plumbing USD stablecoins still dominate savings and dollar access, but local-currency stablecoins such as cNGN are showing a different path: onchain settlement infrastructure for collections, payouts, FX, liquidity management, and eventually intra-African settlement. Full details below. Check out the map and let us know if we've missed anyone.

Let me just use this post to rant and I'm sorry for disturbing the TL. The past couple of days have been so so hard for me with things happening in the country. My normal routine is that: - I wake up, check Citi accounts and inventory for the previous day, analyze and see what needs to be worked on. - enter groups and discuss with different departments on tasks and projects. - then come to social media to check on conversations about the brand and page(s) engagements... after which I try to promote the brand on my personal pages (I realize we get the most traction from my personal page) But here is where the problem is, for the past couple of days now, I am always stuck at the last stage. The moment I open social media, I see all sorts of really terrible news 🤦🏾🤦🏾 Either some people are kidnapped, or some are soliciting for funds to treat one ailment or another, or some just had an easily avoidable accident. It always gets me in a very sad mood and kinda makes me feel guilty cos why am I worried about promoting my business when all these are going on around me. The problem now is that, it is getting to affect me, and by extension, the businesses because I am always down whenever I open this app and I hardly even post about @citilounge & @VeloxConcierge anymore. I understand that I can easily just curate my TL but how will I know what is really going on in the country? Ofcourse, I will have to find a way to balance everything but it has been so hard mahn. So so hard. Anyway, pls patronize our businesses ooo and refer your friends. We have the best food and throw great parties at the family house @CitiLounge and then we have a very sweet SUV for rental at @VeloxConcierge

One thing I’ve been paying attention to lately is not only whether stablecoins are growing (I think it's pretty clear they are), but also who is talking about them. A few years ago, an article like this would have likely appeared in a crypto publication. Today, it’s appearing in one of Colombia’s leading business newspapers, @Portafolioco, where our perspective was included as part of the conversation around the future of cross-border payments. The article focuses on international money movement, but I think the more interesting story is that stablecoins are gradually becoming part of the broader discussion around financial infrastructure. That doesn’t mean every challenge has been solved, and it certainly doesn’t mean adoption happens overnight. But when mainstream business media starts covering stablecoins as a practical tool for moving money across borders, it’s a sign that the conversation is evolving. Not because the technology suddenly changed, but because the audience did. portafolio.co/economia/finan…

In the past few months, we've been focused on building better payment infrastructure. Today, we're looking back with gratitude for everyone building with us, trusting us, and moving money through us.🥹 May brought growth, momentum, and a few milestones we're incredibly proud of. Most importantly, it brought more proof that borderless work deserves borderless payments. We're just getting started. Thank you. ❤️ And as our founder would say, it's still Day 0 🥳

Congratulations to us, @Bloccpay Still Day 0! We keep building 🔥
We're super excited to see 9 projects from West Africa receive over $855,000 in funding in the latest Stellar Community Fund round (SCF #43)! 🎉 It's inspiring to see more founders & builders from the region getting the support they need to scale their ideas and create real impact. Seeing these projects receive backing is also a reminder that the ecosystem continues to grow and that the collective effort to support builders across West Africa is paying off. To every founder out there: keep building. We'll keep supporting you. And if you're looking for a blockchain ecosystem to build on, come @BuildOnStellar/@StellarOrg. Huge congratulations to the incredible teams building solutions for Africa and beyond: @seevcash, @FundableHQ, @spendfigo, @fewticket, @fiatsend, @Bloccpay, @JetPad_Finance, @OurBlockroll, and @uselinq.
