building @RewardMatrix because finding out your credit card doesn’t work at the airport lounge is a terrible experience :( if you're thinking of getting a subscription for a credit card tracking app, you might wanna wait... here's whyπŸ‘‡

It's week 0 of building @RewardMatrix v2 - a credit card benefit tracking app. I just completed building the new powerful extraction engine that is the core of all the new features. It learns from new credit card news and updates data on the fly. A bit expensive to run but works beautifully and is fully automated.

Going all in for the next 2 months. I'm too deep to give up right now. Building the next version of @RewardMatrix.
π˜Ύπ™§π™šπ™™π™žπ™© π™˜π™–π™§π™™ π™™π™šπ™«π™–π™‘π™ͺπ™–π™©π™žπ™€π™£π™¨ π™–π™§π™š π™ π™žπ™‘π™‘π™žπ™£π™œ π™©π™π™š 𝙛π™ͺ𝙣, π™¨π™©π™žπ™‘π™‘ 𝙬𝙀𝙧𝙩𝙝 𝙗π™ͺπ™žπ™‘π™™π™žπ™£π™œ 𝙨𝙀𝙑π™ͺπ™©π™žπ™€π™£π™¨? On this unfortunate day of credit card devaluations (mostly) I'm deciding between shutting down RewardMatrix vs going deeper and building the next iteration. Right now I'm trying to figure out how user behaviour is going to change with diminishing rewards. Are they going to give up, not finding it worth the hassle or are they going to optimise harder. One thing I'm certain is that new people are going to find it less exciting to enter. The barrier for them is also going to increase due to increasing complexity. For example Burgundy to Marriott now has to go through ITC with 10K quarterly capping. This is after paying Rs. 35k in fees and maintaining 10L in savings. The big rewards are getting cut or have a very high eligibility criteria. The small rewards, are they really worth the mental peace? Build the next iteration that connects all the fragments in the credit card awareness and optimisation space or move ahead to building something else? Remember at the end of the day I need to monetise things that too without selling data. This space is already super niche. #ccgeeks

Taking a look at existing solutions / honest take: 1. SaveSage: App Store review says it all. Not talking about the rating but the review people posted after using the app. 3. Points Casa: Beautiful product in the make but currently targeting only experienced users who are maximising hotel and flight redemptions. 2. Magnify: Similar comments as Points Casa. Haven't used it much but looks like an app version of Points Casa gift cards. 4. Maximize: Currently only doing gift cards, at least only known for it. But doing a good job. 5. Cred: Not very useful for experienced users. Does a decent job for newbies in terms of making them aware of the features. Good at tracking expenses. UI is nice. Maybe sells data. which one did I miss? any contradicting opinions?

Boiling down the problems in the credit card space of India: 1. Fragmented & inconsistent data 2. Too many conditions/updates to keep track of 3. High entry barrier for newbies

they should have named it /firecrawl
Introducing the new /crawl endpoint - one API call and an entire site crawled. No scripts. No browser management. Just the content in HTML, Markdown, or JSON.
