I’m in New York — that was the best basketball game I’ve ever watched in my entire life 👏👏👏 And I’m from Cleveland (who lost NBA Finals to the Spurs in 2007) so that speaks volumes 😭 And I’m here with a b-ball player from Harlem that I met in a pharaoh’s tomb in Egypt lmao

Made it from CMA Fest in Nashville to NYC! ✈️ And I’m humbled that New York closed so many streets around Madison Square Garden for my visit during the NBA Finals 🙏🙂‍↕️ I told Otha that Cleveland still hasn’t forgiven the Spurs for 2007 … Go, Knicks! 🏀🗽

I'm elated to hear that Dallas Mavericks have abandoned the idea of tearing down our iconic Dallas City Hall building — designed by I. M. Pei, who designed The Louvre in Paris and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, among many others! 🙌

Kudos to all the volunteers who dedicated so much to organize against this preposterous proposition for MONTHS! 🙏 And thanks to all the Council Members who also resisted it, despite immense pressure.

I'm flummoxed as to why it's so common that sports teams owners want new arenas / stadiums every 20-30 years. 🤷 I look at MSG (1968) and Fenway Park (1912!!) and can't understand why facilities built in this millennium aren't good enough to stick with … but I digress.

The thought of a 79 y/o freshman senator starting a 6 year term is untolerable for many people after the 2024 race I’m in Texas, and we just had this in the redrawn TX-18 — with Al Green losing to a rep. who’s 38 rather than 78 I believe all candidates over 75 are losing favor

Notable thing about Paxton, as his campaign pummels Talarico w his woke clips: He doesn’t debate. Hasn’t faced an opponent onstage since 2014, when he was the non-incumbent conservative choice for the AG primary. Didn’t debate his 2018 Dem opponent who nearly beat him. Ignored George P. Bush who challenged him to five 2022 debates. Never debated Cornyn.

NEW: Sharyn Alfonsi goes scorched earth on Bari Weiss: "Over the weekend, my contract with CBS News expired, drawing to a close nearly twenty years with the network, including more than a decade at 60 Minutes. Following an intense editorial dispute over our CECOT story, repeated attempts by my representation to establish a path forward were met with absolute silence from network executives. The message could not be clearer: my time at 60 Minutes is apparently over. In the coming days, network leadership may attempt to hide behind corporate euphemisms like "modernization" and “restructuring” to explain away my departure. Don't be misled. This was not a routine corporate transition; it was a deliberate choice to penalize a journalist for refusing to sanitize factually accurate reporting, and it sends a chilling message to the entire newsroom. Fearless, independent reporting has always been the defining standard at 60 Minutes. Today, CBS management is abandoning that mission, choosing access journalism over accountability and protecting power rather than scrutinizing it. The wall between editorial independence and corporate interest at CBS is being methodically torn down. Journalists willing to challenge authority are being pushed aside in favor of those who will not. If this continues, the result will be a broadcast that looks like 60 Minutes but lacks the courage and character to produce journalism that matters. To my colleagues, who became family - working beside you has been the privilege of a lifetime. You are second to none. I’ve learned exactly what it costs to hold the line right now. Hold it anyway. Viewers and the people who trust us with their stories deserve nothing less."
