in 2026, you begin to realize that one of the tools to suppress the growth of crypto is paid activists and bots that advertize already sabotaged bitcoin. when you realize the scale of the problem, it no longer seems like a conspiracy theory

In 30 days we will report to prison. Unless the President steps in.
Developers shouldn't be liable for the actions of bad actors using their software
#freesamouraichange.org/p/stand-up-for-fr…
I will not tolerate a world in which software developers are sent to prison for crimes committed by end users. This is bullshit and I won't rest until it is corrected.
There are no laws that criminalize privacy in the EU, UK or in the US. Such laws exist only in tyrannical countries. It's only clickbait headlines that try to present privacy as something that criminals need.
On the opposite - there are many laws protecting privacy. Do the research, rather than reading headlines.

There is no contradiction. The problem is that you have accepted the State's definition of "crime"
If there is no victim, and/or criminal intent, there is no legitimate crime
We do the world a disservice calling the disregard of statute as "crime"
x.com/AResoluteWill/status/1…
The State uses words to manipulate their subjects
A crime® may be illegal, but doesn't necessarily mean it is a legitimate Crime
They similarly call statutes, law®. Some statutes may overlap with legitimate Law, but they are so entirely independent from their decree
Please grow up, and understand one thing - ANY communication operator that breaks laws will not be able to protect you your security and privacy. Everybody who says otherwise is just lying.
It's another question how to follow the laws, and leaving the market that imposes some crazy requirements is always a viable option.
GrapheneOS is currently under a state sponsored attack attempting to misrepresent it as being for criminals, which we covered a bit at x.com/GrapheneOS/status/1940…. These poorly researched, biased and inaccurate news stories have led to more harassment towards our community and team.
European authoritarians and their enablers in the media are misrepresenting GrapheneOS and even Pixel phones as if they're something for criminals. GrapheneOS is opposed to the mass surveillance police state these people want to impose on everyone.

BIP47 vs Silent Payments
Both aim to fix address reuse in Bitcoin.
Silent Payments are experimental.
BIP47 is better today - more scalable, usable, and reproducible.
Here’s why BIP47 still wins for practical privacy. 👇 🧵
1. network effect of xmr
2. bad reputation of zec devs. therefore, distrust of the coin
3. dev fee
4. lack of asic-resistance leads to centralization. it's easy for govts to control large miners
5. optional privacy exists to satisfy regulators. either there's privacy or it's not
