Eh. I really dislike the "movement = only skillgap" narrative. For 10 years pre-jetpacks, COD was made and played 1 way. That way had tons of skillgaps, it just wasn't as flashy but arguably had more depth. And I would argue tons of players sucked at those game because they wanted to just run around with no penalties to bad plays, and those types of players were punished heavily for playing that way and were exposed when we went back to WW2. That doesn't exist anymore. You can ALWAYS bail yourself out of bad plays now. Which means making the right plays is not rewarded nearly as much. COD has been in the exact same playstyle cycle for almost 7 years now. A shift in a different direction is super healthy imo.
2005-2015 = Classic COD
2015-2017 = Jetpack COD
2018 = Back to Classic COD
2019-present = Movement spam COD
I don't get why people want it to stay the way it is, when its beyond clear that its the leading cause of COD fatigue.
