Another step forward for advanced cardiac care in the southern Maldives.
During the latest cardiac service session at Addu Equatorial Hospital, the combined AEH–National Cardiac Centre team successfully performed 3 coronary angiograms and 2 multivessel coronary interventions.
What makes this milestone particularly meaningful is the continued growth of local cardiac services at AEH, with procedures undertaken through close collaboration between developing AEH’s interventional cardiology team and visiting NCC team.
Together, we are building a sustainable regional cardiac program that brings high-quality cardiovascular care closer to patients while strengthening local expertise and healthcare capacity.
