Not pocket watching here but this is one of the rare cases where the Internet is correct. Colombia - Miami is about 45-60k on a mid/supermid for charter. That’s a rounding error when you have the assets this man claims to have. Hiding in the airport didn’t help either.
Rick Ross explains that he chose to fly commercial while his private jet was being updated with Starlink ā€œFor the ones who wanna know where my jet at, I obviously didn't get the memo. It's being updated with Starlink… yall better stop worrying about what rich n-ggas doing.ā€

Miami-Dubai current roundtrip pricing on Emirates: Premium Economy ~ $2,400/person Business ~ $6,500/person First ~ $17,000/person Figure traveling with spouse or significant other. Not dropping $34k to fly into a volatile area. Rather go to the Bahamas or Hawaii.

This is the boomer equivalent to 200 cold calls a day in 2026.
Mr Beast says he could start a faceless channel tomorrow and hit 20 million subscribers in six months ā€œI could start a new channel tomorrow not using my face or my voice without ever promoting it and in six months have 20 million subscribersā€ ā€œIt’s purely knowledge if you knew what I knew you could get 10 million views a video and 10 million subscribers no matter where you are right now within 6 monthsā€ ā€œIt really is just knowledgeā€

Jet charter broker spectrum: New broker -always on IG posting ramp photos -promises super exclusive access -flashy website -AI generated prompts, ā€œseamlessā€ appears frequently -CC can’t hold a $20k booking -massive blasts on Avinode, airmail and FlyEasy -64 phone calls, 102 emails for any trip request -loses trip Broker w/ decade experience and 100Ms in rev -hardly an online presence -makes 1 phone call ā€œI need this at XYX price, can you get there? Ok great, send the contract.ā€ -goes back to the beach Experience matters. Relationships matter.

business aviation is a graveyard. Every idea has either been thought of, or tried and failed. You don’t just vibe code your way in and expect to turn a profit. @goteamgoodwin is the only thing I’ve seen that has warranted any amount of attention from an outsider in the past 4 years.
Great, now I want to start an airline. Is this biz viable? No idea, but finding customers would be the easy part. I'd go to JFK and/or La Guardia every day & buy any refundable or cheap flight, just to get me through security. I'd bring a suitcase full of marketing materials. I'd then go to the gates with the flights leaving for London & shamelessly sell my service to everyone waiting to board. If you do that long enough you'll have enough reoccurring customers to build a business with 8 figures of profit. On paper, that is. Everything looks better in a spreadsheet. I have done 0 research.

The Vision Jet charter model has been discussed here many times over so I’m probably mulching over the same dialogue here. While aesthetically pleasing and operationally inexpensive for short hops with 2 or less ppl, it continues to be persistently avoided among charter customers, based off my own observations. Time and again I’m seeing charter clients pay extra to ā€˜upgrade’ into other VLJs - Phenom 100, CJ1 , M2, Honda Jet (ew) etc. Often times a request will specifically mention ā€˜no Vision Jets pls’. It’s a tough sell and at this point it’s going to fall off my roster entirely unless specifically requested.

I did a multi-leg trip (4 legs) intra-Norway about 4 months ago in the dead of winter. De-ice was taken on every leg - had to have been at least $25k USD worth. This cost would be contractually passed through to the client however I still have yet to receive a bill from the operator…and I’m certainly not pressing for it. Am I good or about to get cooked šŸ¤ž

For reference here, this would typically retail for $18-23k on the same or comparable equipment - just for the one way. When you fly short distance on anything other than a light or a midsize, actual flight time is not the controlling factor. It’s maybe 25% of total cost. No one wants these trips unless they are already moving that direction. The stress on the airframe and the opportunity cost for revenue elsewhere is why you see this 20k/hour mark. This is a great deal…unheard of @ $5,040.00
A nice empty from Van Nuys to San Francisco šŸ”„ Challenger 300 Wednesday, May 18 $5,040 Sourced via @fastjetsalerts The reason this is a much better deal than you would think is that retail would be ~ double even for a short flight. Operators don’t want to take their supermids short hauls, because it adds a cycle and landing for not much revenue, plus having to relocate it in. Have had a few people on this app take this routing at retail and they’re always shocked.

I’ve seen this a few times but with different variations, some more obvious than others. I have a charter client that is Global 6000 or 7500 specific. Outside of the fractional plays there’s only one op with the global reach to accomplish this ā€˜consistently’ - rhymes with Mista, who he used to be a member of. I’ve done about 700k with this particular individual since November which sounds like a lot but not much considering the metal in play. My point is that this guy has driven me completely insane and every trip is the worst experience (VERY last minute revisions, completely unrealistic expectations, cancelling/rescheduling just hours prior, pushing multiple days in extreme locations, coupled with poor communication etc) just scratching the surface here. It likely gets to a point where the big 3 (net jets, flex, vista) bid you adieu regardless of your spend if you continue to disrupt their normal flow of operations. Changes happen yes, but there comes a point. Am I off here or over the target

Unless a gate agent or flight attendant punches you directly in the face, I don’t want to hear about your negative airline experience. It is supposed to suck, US domestic first class is supposed to suck less..only international first or business should warrant an expectation.

Show this to any Euro operator and they would have a stroke.
Honest question about European business culture? What is with the obscene, obvious, "protocol over trust" status quo? Time and time again, we have run into the pressure to "double pay." Oh, wire didnt hit yet, we need to charge your credit card or we cancel the trip! Ten years of working with people - zero lawsuits - zero complaints. Millions of dollars and years of working together and to hinge on something as trivial as their bank having a delayed reception is a joke to me. Honestly, I feel that it completely invalidates any and all work in the past and given the opportunity, the outcomes would be different. With American companies - we dont do that. We've had customers owe us money (we have a name for it, its called Accounts Receivable). We have had planes fly across the ocean on a handshake. We've had emergency flights dispatched on a text. But Europe? Nope. Nothing moves until protocol is followed, regardless of circumstance or relationship. I'd hate to go get a coffee from your local shop you've been going to for a decade, forget your wallet, and be treated as if you were some sort of ghost.

you may live to see man-made horrors beyond your comprehension
the fake UHNW speakerphone videos inevitably take on a life force of their own as the brand deals take precedence over an actual customer base. Over a long enough timeline, it becomes a self feeding organism with botted likes and comments and they end with the lowest common dominator clientele, if at all.
