This is going to be an embarrassingly, ridiculously long thread that might interest no one, but the reunion scene between Louis and Lestat in episode 8 of Interview with the Vampire is one of the most devastating and beautiful and visceral scenes I've ever seen, and definitely🧵

Wow, is TVL literally the highest-rated show of 2026 by actual critics? I knew the reviews were great but I assumed other shows were up there with it.
#TheVampireLestat (🍅100%) is the highest-rated TV show of 2026. Click here for more: editorial.rottentomatoes.com…

#tvlspoilers Pure speculation, this might mean nothing other than not needing to see the actual kill, just Gabriella's face and the body, but it's interesting that we don't see Lestat's father die. Is it possible something happened in there he doesn't want to think about yet...

#tvlspoilers we know there's the flashback of baby Lestat at the witches' place, so I wonder if that will be next week or in some other episode...

#tvlspoilers I could be wrong, maybe it was just about not wanting to spend to make it look like winter--but I think having Lestat kill the wolves on a bright sunny day is about "Sunlight in the hair, and the blue sky fixed forever in your eyes," as Magnus sees the Wolfkiller.

#tvlspoilers YEAH. We knew from season 1 that he had a good voice, but now we know he has a truly incredible voice.
I would love a documentary about how Mathew Santos and Daniel Reid helped shape Sam’s voice into an instrument because his ability could land him roles in serious broadway productions.

I'm trying not to watch any TVLAD clips yet, even though I know people aren't posting ones that contain spoilers (as far as I know), but they all look SO good. That t-shirt is really working for Assad. Yes it is.

"But thanks to Reid’s indefatigable charisma... If you could get away with half of the artistic and legal felonies Lestat does and look fantastic doing it, you probably would . . . wouldn’t you?" salon.com/2026/06/13/the-imm…

Btw, if anyone wants to see more of Moses Sumney, he played Feste in last summer's Shakespeare in the Park production of Twelfth Night, with Lupita Nyong'o as Viola, Sandra Oh as Olivia, and Peter Dinklage as Malvolio. I have not watched it yet but I know it was recorded. :)

This interview with the IWTV and TVL editors is so fascinating and worth watching. I transcribed just the part where they talk about Sam and the whole cast: Christian: And how amazing is Sam? I mean this has got to be one of the best performances...ever. youtube.com/watch?v=DA3KE0Jg…

#tvlspoilers Very interesting LA Times interview with Rolin! I put the spoiler tag because I think this may be referring to Brutal Love, the studio/concert version vs. the version in the show? But I might be completely wrong. latimes.com/entertainment-ar…

Rolin talking about Jacob/Raleigh Ritchie and his music here, he never misses a chance to brag about how beautiful and talented his actors are 😭 I still wonder if we'll get a RR song, maybe in the credits or a remix of a song, or something.
In a new interview with AMC discussing the concert premiere and music, Sam Reid, Jacob Anderson, and Rolin Jones answered the question, “If you're walking down the streets of your favorite city with your headphones on, what do you put on to strut your stuff?” Rolin revealed the title of a song he loves from the upcoming Raleigh Ritchie album 🖤 🖋️: Laura E. "The whole point of Lestat is that he is so magnetic and so unlike anything else that you've ever seen that people are just like, what the hell is that guy's story, and Sam Reid really embodies that....the duo of them together, *mind-blown noises*"
Alan Sepinwall (legendary critic) and Kathryn Vanarendonk (excellent Vulture critic) talked about TVL in their podcast this week, and it's SO delightful. What they say about Sam and Jennifer's performances here, I just love it so much.

They mostly do it as a podcast but you can also watch it on youtube. I love the entire discussion about TVL, which is both of their favorite season so far (and Alan, while loving Sam's performance, didn't love Lestat as a character before this season). youtube.com/watch?v=XOAYJWgu…

Love that Jennifer Ehle is trending because people are talking about her as Gabriella. She's such a great actress, and she's not afraid to be horrifying.

I've been so thrilled this whole time that Sheila Atim is Akasha, and hearing Sam explode into this level of gushing (and extremely Australian) enthusiasm about her performance is just incredibly sweet.

Jennifer Ehle mentioning this moment twice (before she brought it up as a thing she was most excited for people to see) says so much, she's such a great, daring actress with an incredible career, so for her to react like this to that scene.....👀👀👀👀
