25 years ago today we met Tony Soprano in a new TV show called… “The Sopranos’. 1 single person can’t be credited with the huge success of this groundbreaking show. It was carefully constructed using a collection of the most talented people within the industry. Creator David Chase had a revolutionary vision. Lead actor James Gandolfini put his heart, soul and health into the role. The cast was a mixture of actors with various ranges of experience that gelled perfectly together. Writers that went on to create acclaimed I and still highly popular TV shows such as ‘Boardwalk Empire’ and ‘Mad Men’. Directors who continued working on the some of the biggest projects. Many more I could compliment amongst the passionate and dedicated crew. And of course, us. The fan. We played our part in creating this masterpiece too. We watched it and watched it again. By doing that, we indirectly demanded that HBO get Chase, Gandolfini and the team back together for a season 2, then 3, then 4 etc. I look forward to the 50th anniversary 👏
