I just made $300,000 Robux from one of our worst-performing games⦠and it only took us 5 days to build.
Here's how:
it only got ~30,000 visits
and made ~50,000 robux lifetime
look at these statsā¦
This game shouldnāt have worked at all.
Btw, most of this gameās traffic didnāt even come from Robux ads; it came from my social media promotions, which is honestly the best way to promote this type of game.
A couple of days later, someone who saw my promo video DMād me.
He asked if I was willing to sell the game⦠but hereās the twist:
He didnāt want the whole game.
He only wanted the SYSTEM behind it.
initial offer: ~100,000 robux. we negotiated it up to 250,000 robux (this is why negotiation matters⦠never downplay your work.)
and surprisingly, he agreed. After a few days of discussions and finalizing everything, the deal was closed. A game that only earned around 50,000 robux in its lifetime, built in just 5 days and already slowing down, sold for 250,000 robux. The craziest realization after one year of game development is that I've never seen someone value the system more than the game itself.
Huge reminder: you donāt always need a viral game; sometimes the real value is in what you build behind it.
Shoutout to my team; I couldn't have done this without them. Build your circle!
