The Polygamist reminds us how unfair life can be. Essie deserves so much more. She sacrificed and invested in Jonas's future by funding his education through her hairdressing business. Without her support, he might never have secured the life and career he has today. My observation is that Jonas was a deeply broken man. Womanising wasn’t just a habit it was his childhood coping mechanism. As a boy, he escaped his painful reality by chasing women, and as he grew up, that pattern became his entire identity. In the end, he didn’t do any better than his own father. Sadly, there are so many men just like him. They see themselves as smooth β€œamasoka,” players living the dream, when in reality they’re carrying deep unresolved wounds. The worst part? The majority of them will never go for therapy or counselling. #ThePolygamist
