I never gave GSoC my full focus in college. Instead, I ran freelancing with friends, building softwares for top businesses around India and abroad.
GSoC used to feel like a "must-do" milestone. Now I realize that many also aim for what I lived, just do what makes you great.

10 requests per minute is a lie, You can legally send 20 requests in 2 seconds and still be within the limit
