I'm looking for my next gig. The backstory is simple: the company I worked for ran out of money, and took the hard decision to lay off a bunch of employees. I was one of them. The decision was a financial and not a personal one. I parted ways with that team on good terms.

I'm not a pro podcast host (yet) - but I do interview the @thesolsisclub members in our Spotlight series. Check out all of the interviews on YouTube - the last two are very close to my heart because I interviewed the Sol Mothers @Ginnymmm and @Renateskk ๐Ÿ’œ link below

Did you know that every time you edit a twitter post, the platform treats it as a new one, and deletes the views/engagements on the original one? So yeah, either re-read 17 times before posting, or learn how to live with the typos you made.

Here's another thing AI fucked up after em-dashes. RIP reasonable formatting ๐Ÿชฆ
ironically, the uglier the document, the more likely i am to read it thoroughly. i've been so overwhelmed by AI slop that if i spot the "nice" Claude formatting, i instantly go into skim-only mode.

I was just invited to a corporate party to celebrate a company's 10th anniversary. They're charging for entry and for the drinks. Call me entitled but I find this to be in poor taste - especially knowing that the company will then use pictures from the party across social to demonstrate success. If you don't have money for a party, don't throw a party, as simple as that. Disclaimer: I'm on their mailing list because I inquired about their services once, they charged me a bunch of money for a consultation and after our meeting, I decided not to work with them because I didn't trust them and their values. I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

I'm missing @SuperteamDE's Solana Summit Germany this year - I have a scheduling conflict with a prior commitment. Am I bummed? You have no idea, the FOMO is real! But I know a lot of you are going - so as a public service I'll help you learn some German. Join me for a crash course in Solana-Deutsch so you know how to ask if any of the locals have seen @mert around. No ticket yet? Get it here: luma.com/solanasummitgermany Wunderbar! Gut gemacht!

Since we started growing and nurturing @thesolsisclub, I've been neck-deep into community building. On the newsletter today - a little dive into what makes a community good, how to develop it & how not to end up with a dead Discord. Link below because X hates Substack.

Building Crypto Communities the Right Way: Your Practical Guide theweb3marketer.substack.comโ€ฆ

how to land your first crypto job (from women who've actually done it): 1. stop waiting until you "know enough." nobody in crypto knows enough. the space moves faster than any single person can learn. start contributing now. 2. your web2 skills are your superpower. marketing, design, ops, finance, writing - crypto projects are desperate for people who can actually execute, not just talk about tokenomics. 3. build in public. share what you're learning. write a thread about a protocol you're exploring. the bar is lower than you think and the visibility compounds fast. 4. join communities that share opportunities. not just job boards - actual group chats where people say "hey my team is hiring." (this is literally what our Telegram does.) 5. go to events. IRL connections still close more deals and land more jobs than any cold DM. even small side events count - that's where real relationships happen. 6. don't let "crypto bro culture" scare you away. the space needs you more than you need it. and communities like Sol Sisters exist to make sure you're not navigating it alone. bookmark this. share it with a friend who needs to hear it ๐Ÿ’œ

CT sucks balls, I swear. Me: Posts a random rant, points fingers, names names. CT: Gangs up on me for being a negative bitch; 20ะš views Also me: Posts a funny(ish) positive, upbeat video about something cool CT: Completely ignores me; barely 350 views. You all love to tell me when I'm doing things wrong but in reality all you care about is the drama and the interpersonal arguments so yeah, CT sucks balls. If you feel any shame or remorse, go give my video about Solana Summit Germany some love (and comments; mostly comments, please).

One of my recent posts blew up and got over 180,000 views, close to 1,300 reactions and 150 comments across X and LinkedIn. No biggie, right? But here's the thing: I'm an older millennial. I grew up without the internet - in fact, I was already in uni when internet access became a normal household thing and we stopped using prepaid dial-up. Back then, I could have gone on national TV and I still wouldn't have reached 180K people. Today I simply have to play with some algos, post something on social and I reach 180,000 strangers across the globe. It gives me pause how many lives I've lived in a single timeline.

I applied for a job at @0xPolygon. Had my interviews, then got my rejection email. So far nothing out of the ordinary. But the email wasn't an automated ATS message; someone sat down and typed it - and offered me a feedback call. What??? ๐Ÿงต1/5

There are job perks, and then there are job *perks*. Want to attract more women to your work force? Offer perks women truly care about - like mental & reproductive health benefits. Well played, @0xPolygon, well played!

The call took all of 15 minutes, with the small talk included. The impact was huge - I am now convinced that Polygon is a good place to work, despite controversial rumours I've heard. Honestly, this should be the standard. ๐Ÿงต4/5

Moral of the story is, you can make someone feel bad even before applying (I'm looking at you, companies hiring from Tier-1 only!), or you make someone feel good even when you reject them. Your pick. ๐Ÿงต5/5
